Big Bucker reborn was created by Klipkopwildlife
Well, as you will know from the SA diary the Big Bucker ended up here, kindly brought out by Tony (The Blackbird)
Without going into all the gory details, the maiden only happened today.
First up, an aborted take off
The port elevator came loose.
Then came the maiden proper.
I know Tony and I checked the COG very carefully according to the plan. There is damage to the upper centre wing and both lower wing mountings, she will be repaired.

That’s it I’ll leave happy now I’ve seen it take to the air, just needs a couple of tweaks and it will be a good flyer

Tail heavy and stalling!
It was going well until you throttled back at the top of the climb, then didn't put enough power back in to keep the speed up!

The problem was, every time I gave power she climbed! But yes, CoG way too far back and I couldn't push in enough down!

It was so good to see it up in the air after coming so far! It roars nicely. I noticed the local 4 legs beating a hasty retreat as it came around.
Certainly didn't need much runway (but then Tony does tend to go for steep climb-outs). Given your grass tufts I am thinking the Bucker could do with somewhat larger tyres. Look forward to seeing it dancing nicely after those tweaks!
