Get yours today by searching for "aeromura" on your play store or tap on one of the links below.
Some of the great new things in this version include:
■ Now takes into account wind direction for slopes when calculating flyability
■ Added wind direction overlay arrows for all flying locations
■ Added a windsock to all flying locations
■ Added optimum launch direction to all slopes
■ Added flying box overlay for all slopes
■ Added landing zone overlay for all slopes
■ Added a setting to ignore temperature limits when calculating flyability
The app already includes thousands of model aircraft clubs and flying locations and slopes around the world with integrated weather, with predicted flyability for each so you know when to fly and where according to your own personal preferences in terms of wind strength and much more.
Also included are hundreds of kits and manufacturers, with technical specifications like CG and recommended control throw settings.
Endorsed by flying associations around the world.
Your local flying club is most likely also listed within the app.

I've inserted your pics for you, it's a mistake most newbies make.
I haven't downloaded the app as yet but it certainly looks the biz. My advice to anyone here who is a Club flyer would be, get the approval of your Committee before giving out club information.

Pleased to chat to a fellow South African, although, no, I am actually not based in Cape Town - not sure how you established that, but I am in fact based in the United Kingdom.
Ive been an RC pilot for some 12 years now...21 aircraft in the "fleet"...some small foamies...some that barely fit into my garage...
We started this app to serve the RC pilot community globally, from a seed of an idea nearly 4 years ago now - I had a great friend, Louis Genade (you might know him? He was well known throughout SA in RC)...best pilot in the world in my humble opinion...he was the original founders of the company that began to develop the app, but tragically passed away about 2 years ago.
All the best and enjoy the app - let me know if I can help with anything!

I downloaded it to Marys' iPhone 6, all went well, you get asked a lot of questions, the reason for each question is given and makes perfect sense. I was a bit concerned when the app wanted to access my apple account until I remembered that the phone is set to force a check when loading new Apps.
The installation went quickly and when I fired the App up it wanted access to my location, which it obviously found because it said I was 31Km from Ellisras (the new name is Lephalale), which I am as the crow flies. It also showed a number of flying sites within 150Kms of me.
It then wanted to access weather information and this is where it went tits up, it just sat there with little circles going around and around!
I am assuming that the problem is no Cellular service, I'm going to try again when next I go to town.

One caveat, the App does appear to use a lot of data (maybe it's only on first use). Anyone on a limited data plan (most South Africans) will need to be careful because once your available data is gone the Cell provider continues to serve but at 'Out of bundle' rates, ie they charge the data to your airtime at about 1,000% mark up.
Thanks Barry

Glad you sorted your problem out...at least you have electricity at the moment!
The app uses very little data - we specifically designed it that way, and we employed caching technologies within the app to minimise bandwidth usage as much as possible. But yes, initially, it needs to fetch a bit (its still not that much really, couple of MB only), but after that, the data usage is very thin...because it makes use of the cache.
If you are finding that your data usage is persistently high, please let me know - it should not be, and we will be all over that problem!
But in our experience over the past year since the app's release, bandwidth consumption has been a "non issue", even for our pilots in South Africa (nearly half of all the SAMAA members) - they would have moaned at me a long time ago I think...
