Rules of a Forum, what would you suggest?
We need good, flexible rules that are not to....... "Primary School"

Looking through the rules that are posted Mike, I feel that generally they will suffice for the time being. The more rules you have the more "Primary School" it becomes. This was born out on RCM&E forum which developed into a total joke. The only rule I would like to see extra is that the profile is filled in but you cant enforce that. I discussed this with Phil and we were undecided.

Very true Garry, none of us want the place to turn into a load of f'in & blindin but people have been warned that parental guidance is advised. ........ www.modelflying.co.uk/ is still an excellent site if you want something "Child friendly".
We may get a few members saying this or that is offensive , we'll just have to consider this when it happens.
Polyphilla.
I just own the forum .... you guys make it great thanks.

the internet as a WHOLE! needs parental guidance.
I don't think stopping various language should be for the benefit of children because if they understand what it means then what are we protecting them from, THEY ALREADY KNOW!
If they don't know what it means then it doesn't matter 'coz they haven't got a clue.
Rules are there to stop the chance of offending other users. which is also ridiculous. Everyone is to affraid to offend people that we're loosing the freedom of speech.
We all FART, be all BURP, we all SHIT!!! People need to loosen up on life. It's to short to let language piss you off.
Go on Poly, Mod me if you dare!

I think bad language should stay just in the cafe ONLY. If a kid does not know what the word means they can look it up and find out what it means. Just like the TV if you don't like what on turn over to a other side same for the forum. A lot off people don't like bad language just my 2P worth.

You have my support there Mike, it's a thorny issue. If you're discussing building a Menzzard or a YakCap, there's no need to swear, unless you cut yourself, then you'll put blood all over the keyboard!
