The lorry with the sand and bags of cement tuned up on Wednesday morning before my wasted trip to the hospital and the driver backed his large lorry in ok without to much trouble
The paving slabs were due Thursday so im up early only to find i have no milk, so i nip around the corner to get some and on the way back i meet the lorry with the slabs just coming out of out road end, have you just delivered my slabs i say, no i cannot get in theres cars all over the place, load of bollocks i tell him those cars are always there and the dustbin lorries go up there twice a week and i had sand delivered yesterday with a lot bigger lorry than your, ill go and back you in
So i walked up to the house and waited for him
And im still bloody waiting he F d off
got on to Jewsons we will bring them in the morning its now 19 00 still no slabs and iv been on their back all day, theres not just a few £2ooo worths, theres lorry drivers and theres lorry drivers

Its a fairly large area that i have to do
Iv just barrowed in 3 ton of sharp sand and the cement to go with it
Still waiting for the slabs, bastards
As part of this job iv had to dismantle the small shed i built 6 years ago, it housed the mower and other bits like the concrete mixer
So the mower is no residing in my man cave and iv a new bench in there

Now im laying the slabs onto sand and cement mixed, hard back breaking work for an crippled 85 year old, and my son the lazy $%£&*) sits the other side of the patio window playing on his phone, words fail me, cannot believe a son of mine could be so lazy and thats the best word i have for him, its not as if he works, from morning till night he sits there
Thats one of the 4 settees hes ruined, worn out in 8 years and iv got to move it tomorrow

Iv already been borrowing slabs to the back while waiting for the lorry with the sand, problem is im not allowed to make any noise as her indoors is still n bed and get a bit ratty if woken

Two sessions and the gaps are now substantially filled. No way to get bricks tight against the roof so there might be a bit of a spill-over if the worst happened. Got better at it as I progressed, rather rough but should slow down the flames. And it opened up a bit more space in the man-cave. Below is the before and after....
