The "NEW" count flag on posts seems erratic.

To be fair this has nothing to with the new site as this fault existed before. 
The number in the 'new post' flag seems to go wrong when certain people (Admin & Mods?) have looked at it and added a post. The count then seems to record many if not all of the posts as 'new' regardless whether I as a user have already seen them. Not serious but it now seems rather more obvious with the new "Recent Discussions" page layout.
It does seems to count ok when normal users post.
