Website Updates

Hi All,
It's getting very close to that time again were I will have to perform some updates to the site in order to maintain security.
This is not a simple procedure and will likely take a few weeks to cover backups, testing re-testing and redevelopment.

I would endeavour to maintain the general site design as much as possible but I may be forced to make some change.
The "theme" that sites on top of the forum area is not likely to work with the updates.

When i start my work, I will have to disable image uploads. This is to keep the uploaded data in-sync with the updated version before the switch.

I hope you are all continuing to enjoy aeromodellers and understand that this work will be necessary.

Hi Eric. I have 4 active email addresses. Aeromodellers, my business email, my work email and my personal. All of which get at lot of traffic. I do miss things.
Align that with a full time job, a home business, kids and housework - i forget things.

I rarely get opportunity to log in here to check PMs and the mods have my mobile number should something serious happen with the site that requires my attention.

I did receive see at least one message asking about dad (it may have been a text from a mod) and I intended on replying but it slipped my mind, apologies.

Do you have any thoughts on the website updates?

You need to retire, Mike - then you'd have more time for the important stuff!

Website - seems to be running just fine. As said above, you can scrap the live chat, as nobody seems to use it, because we all seem to have different 'free time' so we don't often match up. Klippy has dodgy unreliable broadband and a funny time-zone, as does BB. O.T seems to prefer 0200, and so on!

It's some settings have got messed up.
Didn't look like this when i packed in last night so must have been a cache issue.

I'm on it now.
