Interesting but the frightening bit is not so much the crash (rather expected
) but the guy with the extinguisher first tries to put out a smoking LiPo with a Co2 and then picks it up!
He obviously has not seen an actual runaway LiPo fire. :woohoo:

Why is the crash expected? Its obviously a very well thought out bit of engineering, to get a chopper going at that speed is quite an achievement, pushing the boundaries puts a hell of a strain on anything, never mind a miniature heli, I think its a hell of an achievement, hopefully, they will be back with the errant parts fortified, plus, of coarse, a new chopper, That lipo pack is a big one, not much would put that out, Might I suggest a bucket of sand, to smother the thing? As for handling it, hmmm, let it burn

At those sort of speeds the advancing blade is at virtually no incidence and the retreating blade is approaching a stall.
If the advancing blade exceeds its aerodynamic Vne or the retreating blade actually stalls it is very likely to crash.
Full size have the same problem. It took a specially modified Lynx to get to 249 mph and that record has stood for 17 years. Only test compound helicopters have gone faster but even then only to 300 mph

Perhaps it would have been better to put this rather complex aproach, other than the crash was expected, i am not gifted enough to offer an argument to your physics, But, if i can find his number, i know a man who is
