Aeromodeller - house clearance was created by Ryan
We have a garage/house absolutely full of aeromodeller equipment to clear. It includes fully built planes, parts, and stock from a former modelling shop. Does anyone know of a specialist areomodeller clearance company, auctioneers or similar who we could use to sort and sell this on our behalf? I'd rather not go down the individual sales/ebay route.
Thanks in advance
Ryan.

All I can say is - You'll get about 10p in the pound return on their value, less the auctioneer's fees.
They will buy at minimum price, then re-sell at top mark.

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

I am afraid I can only reinforce what has been said.
There are many organisations that provide a house clearance service but nothing I can find or know of that specialise in Aero modelling stuff.

You might have to persuade (bribe with a freebie item of his choice) an experienced modeler to list, describe and take pictures of the items and advertise of aeromodelling web sites.
Can be a rather a slow process but you might just find someone who recognises several items that they really want enough to make you an acceptable offer for the lot.

As I said earlier I know a guy that specializes in exactly that, he only buys job lots or aeromodelling equipment.

Thanks! We're in East Lancashire (near Burnley). It all belongs to my Dad so I'll see if I can get him to catalogue the planes and parts that are likely to be most wanted/useful/valuable, and probably bin the rest.

It is possible to get paid for house clearance. If selling on your old items or disposing of the belongings of a deceased loved one is too difficult for you, then house clearance businesses can do this job for you. ... They can also sell positives – valuable content – to shops for payment.

Thanks Bob, I'm going to leave the above for now since it is in Buy & Sell. If anyone else has a problem, let me know and I'll delete it.

Do it now, you may never get another chance
