Yes, I know you should never rely on the weather, but I was counting on the half term holiday to get work completed on the trailer tent so that it could be used. We had one day out of the ten that didn't rain most of the day. To catch up at weekends will take some time, so that means mu building plans have gone out the window.
So new ideas need to be looked at. I have had a couple of depron planes from mark4mods on ebay, fantastic fun for the money, and if built light can be flown on the green so to speak.
I was thinking of making a depron CAP21, with a box fuselage (it is almost a box anyway, with a curved turtle deck), with carbon reinforced wings, separate aileron servos, and planning on using a 2200 battery. If I can come out at +-600g with a 1.1m wingspan, it will be slow enough to fly anywhere, and should be 3D capable (if I was).
Cheap and quick to build, and will open up flying opportunities when there would normally be none.
Or maybe a submarine, they say the rain is coming back on Thursday
