ppm? was created by don49
hi all how to ppm with a reciever board that only has a wifi socket free..?.. will a 'y lead' into a servo socket and sharing it with the servo work ..??..
I have a120 fp heli and want to use my big tx for all the models, but this one is.the wrong language rx.
also would separates be available .. micro esc and hh gyro... to do away with the board even and setup as a bigger heli is... don't like all the 6 point gyro stabilisation..
don

What receiver are you talking about - I've never heard of one with wifi!
What transmitter are you using?
-
the abbreviation ppm usually means parts per million. (or it could be pulse proportional modulation)

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

the reciever is a control board on the firefox from banggood .a fp heli with full stablisation
ppm pulse proportional modulation, 1 servo wire connection between recievers allows full control of model ... an older rc term..
I assume the wifi connection is there for camera or perhaps control through an app on smart phone ..
but board is not setup for ppm etc as most recievers are ..

I've had a good look on Banggood, and cannot find any heli called Firefox. So that was a blind alley. Is it a model of the TV Firefox, or just called Firefox?
PPM - All r/c radio sets are pulse proportional, so that tells me nothing, either! It just means that the servo moves to follow the stick movement.
So - I ask again - what brand and model number of transmitter are you using?
What brand and model number of reciever are you using?
What are you tryng to get them to do?
-
You have to bear in mind that a lot of radio-control manufacturers have their own particular 'code' that the transmitter sends to the receiver, so it's a bit like a cross language discussion between a French man and a Russian man, neither of them speaks the other's language, so they don't get very far!
For example, Futaba uses FASST, Spektrum uses DSMX, and Taranis uses ACCST, and none of them will 'talk' to each other. Then there are all the different 'dialects' within the same manufacturer's range - ie a Brummie and a Geordie trying to chat to each other! Up to a point, they use the same words, but they mean different things, and sound different!

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

Not exactly correct Eric, many TXs can be set to PPM or PCM. You do have to be very careful buying from Banggood. The information is there most of the time but you can end up being disappointed, I have some 1.7gm servos that I can't use because they have 1.25mm JST plugs, not the 1.0mm JST sockets that the micro RX is fitted with.

Do it now, you may never get another chance

Is ppm pulse position modulation, and pcm pulse code modulation ?

I am 22 years out of date and things change rapidly especially these days..

Klippy put - many TXs can be set to PPM or PCM.
Yes, I know, I was tryng to avoid over-complicating matters with even more code letters!
-
Rich - PPM can be either, depends on the manufacturer and the translater!
