Toffee tin transmitter was created by ronstv
Here is a little project i started last night, my toffee tin single channel transmitter
Using 2.4ghz frsky hack module and one of Phil_G's single channel encoders.
With it's hinged lid there is actually enough room inside to fit a few toffee's in so its just the job for a quick snack while flying!
Once for Right, Twice for left, here we go!!!

Here is a short video of me flying the sharkie with the toffee tin tranny
I was on my own so the quality is not too good but you can see the model half way through and the landing is clear.
This was taken this morning at the club field. The wind was almost flat calm.

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

Hi beard
Basically it emulates the old escapement system.
It has only one push button on the transmitter.
1 press gives you right rudder, 2 presses gives you left rudder, release the button for center rudder. 3 presses gives you kick up/down elevator if fitted. A quick press gives you a sequential 2 or three position throttle. Sounds complicated but it's actually quite simple to operate. See video above. The sharkface is rudder only and it's quite controllable.
I did build it from scratch but used a pre built encoder by Phil_G and a frsky D series rf module.
It's full range 2.4ghz with simple telemetry.
Very easy to build and fly with. See singlechannel.co.uk for more info and how to build one. It's very interesting and a bit different from the norm.
