Lipo charging was created by Klipkopwildlife
This subject has reared its head again, we used to have a British Army document on the site that gave us full charge voltage v temperature. On this chart it can be seen that the full charge voltage at 30oC is considerably higher than at 5oC. The problem is the charger detects certain minuscule changes in the charge current when the Lipo is full, this is independent of temperature and here is the problem, I used to charge when I returned from flying, the temperature would often be 25 - 30oC. I would then disconnect from the charger (never leave a battery connected and unattended) and leave things overnight. Then gaily go off flying the following morning. The problem is the 20oC drop in overnight temperature. The battery at 5 - 10oC is now seriously overcharged! And puffs up.
Since I started charging my batteries in the morning before flying I haven't had a problem because I'm now charging at a lower temperature that's rising.

Do it now, you may never get another chance

To be fair the set of instructions with my latest LiPo does state quite clearly that the battery should only be charged when it has fully cooled down.
Like you Klippy I always charge early on the day I fly, except when I am off to a meet but even then the batteries are charged at room temperature.

Mine are charged outside, on the concrete floor, at more or less ambient temp, the day before I want them (usually!), but are stored inside at room temperature, which is normally (when the heating works!) a lot warmer!
The only timing exception is when I've charged up ready to go, and the weather says oh no you aren't!

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

Here's my charger and power supply for it, one side pack up 6 months after i got it , and today it kept shutting off telling me the input voltage was low, so it looks like its all going to quit on me,
Measure the input voltage from the power supply to the charger please. Both plugged in to the charger and unplugged.

Sounds like dry soldered joints to me . Give it a going over with a soldering iron.. It's worth a punt.

Anything will fly given enough power

A pity I'm so far away I'd have a go at the soldering for you .Agh but then I couldn't test it properly as I've no Lipos
Just a thought isn't it still under warranty/guarntee ?

Anything will fly given enough power
