Not quite sure what your complaint is.
The windscreen is wrong and the rear fuselage is missing the external stiffening strakes but the cowling does not look too bad .

....Yes.... not sure about the cowl observation... have you been viewing the Wilga 2000?? Thing is the next size of the PZL 104 is the Black Horse which is 2m span... a little too big, my Sapac Wilga & Easy Sky Wilgas are just too small at 1200mm & 1000mm respectively. Then theres the eStar Wilga which is 52 inches but doesn't have the nice scale u/c..... So, they either build them too big or too small. I'd really like a 60 inch model but then where do you get the counter sprung u/c. This H.K. one is too big for me really not having anywhere to fly such a thing....
Cpl.

The only complaint our tug pilots had about the Wilga was you could not get it down as fast as it towed gliders up! (under 3 minutes to 2000' from 'take up slack'). The problem was over cooling the engine during a rapid descent (on a typical UK winter day!). It took longer to close the gills (needed many turns of a handle) than it did to come down.
The STOL performance was that good the Wilga landed and stopped at a point it could pick up the next glider without back tracking. 1 Wilga did the work of 2 Chipmunks although that big radial had twice the fuel consumption as well  but it sounded fantastic. :P

I'm trying to justify one right now! The problem is how to keep it a secret from Mary!

Do it now, you may never get another chance

Take a tip from a 55 yrs old married man Kippy, admit all, as they always find out in the end. Now I had better take my own advise and tell her about the DX 9 :woohoo:  [badass]

Depends on what you buy Mary at the same time as you buy the Wilga ;)

Had a look and a drool. Got too much needing me to get up and go,, difficult to justify. Anyone got any spare "get up and go" spare? Or just half the enthusiasm I lack, would do. :(

Really does tempt me though.

Have a nice Day, unless I don't like you.
