Who has a watchmaker's lathe? You should be able to make these in a few minutes! :woohoo:

Not a very elegant solution IMHO.
I bet in a hard impact that brass weight would move forward and simple bend some part of the brass tubing assembly.

Does anybody use positive pressure to collapse internal bag tanks?

I've seen an 'exploded' diagram of this somewhere. The fuel line from the bung is also the pivot that the clunk rotates on. There is an 'O' ring sealing it. The other end of the 'fuel line' is just a bar, to help support and locate the clunk, with a 'pin-point' bearing fitting into a countersunk recess, like the axle on a model railway truck wheel.
The only likely failure point is the metal fuel tube bending if it gets a hard enough thump, in which case the model won't be flying any more that day!

Until Mike can sort the posting prob - I'll have to sketch it, scan it, send it to photobucket, then copy it back. I'll do it soon, unless someone beats me to it.

few thing about tanks, as said, place a length of pipe in the line in the tank, but use aluminium, not brass for ALL the tubing, brass reacts with methanol, and corrodes, and becomes brittle, the line can stretch in flite, letting the clunk contact the tank rear, and block the fuel supply, simply do a saw cut across the hole, this will stop this problem,

i have 2 sides
no you dont,
yes i do,

As an aside Alan, when I started to use stuff that I had had in store for 25years, I found that all the aluminium piping in the tanks was corroded through at the junction with the bung! I chucked a lot of stuff away! :(

Do it now, you may never get another chance
