The Zlin flew again today and here arte some photos

Yesterday was a good day.I arrived at the field,a bit blustery and dampnessin the air,no .one there.So for the first time I took off and landed the Zlin on my own.After 2 flights filled with nerves,I felt very pleased with myself.The first landing was OK but the model did a half spin as the wind caught it,the second take off was a but hairy but my reactions saved the day and the second landing was excellant.Im still struggling to keep the model straight on take off though,but get there

Dont know much about expo,someone put it on a model for me and I hated it.Today I actually had a good take off and I could feel my thumb using the rudder without having to think myself to do it so I think I might be getting there.I had my best flight so far and started to relax.Unfortunately I let the Zlin land just short and took the undercarriage off.Exactly the same as when I did it with my foot.Its all repaired,just 1 more peace of wood to make and glue on.

Thanks Gary,I went to the field at 4 pm and had 6 flights,4 with the Zlin 50 and 2 with the Radio Queen.The take offs were varied.The first I had to steer clear of the trees but it was all ok,the 2nd my brain seemed interesting to seize and left and right hands were doing each others jobs which was interesting ,then my brain unseized and all was welland the last 2 were witjhout drama.The landings were varied also and there wasnt one that I was satisfied with.I practised the approaches and all seemed fine but when an approach became a landing they were all higgledy pickeldy.The first 2 werent straight on touch down probably to slow but it landed gently and spun a bit.The last 2 were nice and straight but both had big bounces before stopping.The under carriage was fine and thoroughly tested.The 2 flights were uneventful except that the engine decided to deadstick on th first 2 take offs both landins were excellant it just glides and the 3rd attempt was fine with very little tuning.I then had a very relaxed flight but after 20 minutes The engine stopped again suddenly but it took 4 minutes before the RQ came into land.I them had a final flight which was just pleasant very satisfied
