ive had a busy time lately with late nights at work taking my son to uni the cinema collecting my son from uni as its gone wrong and receiving a new fuselage for acrowot foamy which needs the 2 haives gluing together as its the only way of fitting some parts in and rebuilding the model.I had a spare pair of wings also so its as new .I also have trandfers to fit. Therefore the artf Acrowot has had a delay but strides made tonight,
Firstly the rudder has closed loop so that took time to get the lengths right and was success ful.I have trouble now seeing the small holes to feed things through but a small torch held in my mouth worked .I have a head one but it seems to move at the crucial time. But the most difficult job was feeding the dowel push rod into position it bound up every which way and I had to keep stopping because it was so frustratingg,In the end I gave up with thec supplied one and used an old solid wire pushrod that still took forever to get it in through the slot but i managed eventually .The model made big strides tonight with those jobs done.Always my favorite is fitting the ic engine so hopefull its under carriage on and engine tomorrow night

Im fitting an SC 52 2 stroke
A guy was at the field last wednesday with a new artf Acrowot .He bought it from the previous owner unflown as the guy couldnt get the c of g right Ive never heard such rubbish on a quality popular model. This guy had fitted an elderly webra 60 which he wasnt tuning correctly and kept cutting out.Why do such a thing beats me.On its maiden the engine stopped and the model glided beautifully forever and he had an afternoon walk to collect it.No damage landed perfectly albeit 500 yards away

the engine s now fitted but the cut out for the silencer isn't quite in the right place and an extension to move it out will be rather large so I spent the evening looking for a razor saw and will continue tonite, its just to make the silencer aperture 1/4 inch bigger
Thanks: Flytilbroke

things went well last night although with some problems.the parts arrived from just engines a spacer and longer bolts for silencer.couldnt get the broken end of vthe pressure nipple out of the first silencer found another silencer on another engine but someone had butchered one of the bolts holding it to the engine.I finished up managing to remove the long bolt that holds the silencer together and make up another silencer that fitted.I then fitted the tank which strangely fits sidewaysneed to fix it in place. Also fitted servos for ailerons so not to long now.In fact it maybe to windy to fly so may carry on during today if thats the case

so arrived at the field for a second time for its maiden.engine running then as I taxied cut out .After several attempts decided to strip out and check things over.I don't like doing this sort of thing at the field but its much easier now.My Toyota Surf has a tailgate the drops down and its a perfect height work bench.I also wore good trad boots so no more sliding about.I also parked closer to flight line avoiding dreaded slight slip into shallow ditch.Found the problem was the bung and clunkk so rearranged them and also bent the other 2 pipes higher. This worked perfectly. So all running revving and ticking over,Taxied to take off area.lined up for take off.Take off was perfect except for one slight problem. As it turned to the right on take off I gave it left,It turned to the right more rolled over and crashed.I knew the problem immediately.Ailerons wrong way round.I always confuse myself with these and this time no one to check with me so the result 1 new bashed up model.Ill look tonight to see if its repairable
