wish you had posted in the thread that you saved money, i thought no-one had bothered, and it was a wast of time, 109s looking good, do you know what to do regarding sheeting the wing, ask away when it gets to that time, i hope you are using servos instead of pushrods and bellcranks

re sheeting the wing, the plan recommends 1/16th sheet, anything i need to be aware of ? and yes, putting servos for the flaps and ailerons in the wing, many thanks Alan

Don't do a Tony, and forget to make holes in the ribs for the plugs and wires!

NO probs, change the wing sheet for 3/32s, Brian Taylor plans are notorious for their light build, 3/32 gives you some sanding room, 1/16 WILL give the starved horse effect, sagging between ribs etc, to sheet it, you need to join sheets, not all sheets mate up nicely, you need a good long straight edge, trim the sheets with a good knife, ensure there are no gaps when you turn it over, then, run a strip of 2inch masking tape along one side, this will give a hinge effect, open the hinge, put glue along 1 edge, aliphatic resin, like PVA is best, i use tightbond, close the hinge, wipe away the excess, and let it set, when you glue the sheet to the wing structure, using a paint brush, coat the structure with glue, you dont need a lot, place the sheet over, and get some bags, filled with sand, or even old magazines, these will bend to the contour of the wing, and ensure even bonding, make sure the wing is jigged up the correct amount, you wont get a 2nd chance, leave to set, and trim off the surplus, you can make a paper template of the wing, and make the sheet oversize to this pattern, dont be skimpy with the overlap, you might need it!!!

Thanks for the info on sheeting wings Alan that is one of the areas I struggled with.
This Is a great build soloslogger looking really nice, I'm very jealous
The vice chairman of my club built one of these although he scaled the plans up to make it 1/4 scale this is a link to it scroll down the page to see some pictures of it Click here

Somebody called me 'pretentious' the other day.
