Remember to drill or cut any holes you need for servo wires through the ribs before you sheet everything.
Assuming of course that you're putting servo's in the wings?

Pol.

I just own the forum .... you guys make it great thanks.

Bonjour....now safely back home.

Got a bit of time today so finished lower sheeting on one wing, including the cap strips. Tubes in for the servos.

Going to crack on with the sheeting on the other wing, but using aliphatic so progress is slow. Then time to start mounting the nacelles.

Not sure if I'm going to glue these in or wait till I've got the wing mounted first to check the fire walls are aligned before committing to the epoxy.

Cheers,
Simon

Bit more done on the sheeting.

Started putting the nacelles together. Decided it will be easier to tweak with them assembled.

Looking forward to fitting these at some point. Been in my parts box for way too long.

Cheers,
Simon

If it stops raining, I can get the final sanding on the wing done.

Slowly getting there.

Not much progress. Wing is done except for trailing edges. Bit annoyed as plan calls for 3/8 x 1" 1/4 trailing edge stock, but that it way too big so I guess that will go back in the balsa box (could not see a way of thinning the stock trailing edge without ruining it). Couldn't find anything suitable and not going to buy just trailing edge stock due to delivery cost so had a go at carving some from 1/4 sheet laminated with some 1/16 sheet to make up the thickness.

Seemed to go well, lots of balsa carvings everywhere. Will post some pics tomorrow if I get them glued on.

Cheers Tony,

Was hoping to get this finished over my summer break but I've been a bit lazy with a lot of things. Back at school tomorrow, so the stress will kick back in..........not sure how much time I will have on my models.

Got a few things which don't line up or match even though it's correct to the plan so need to spend a bit of time sanding and tweaking before I commit to fitting the wing. Once that is done I hope it will come together.

Little bit of progress.

Had no time, so tried to just glue at least one bit of wood on per evening. Going to leave this one and get the other side up to a similar state and then finish the final sanding and a bit of filler. The wing has a fairing over the top, so that will be next.
