I know we've drifted a bit off topic here, but it is related to getting the materials to finish the Vickers.
If I were you I'd post a list of what's needed to finish it & let's see what happens.

tail wheel is 4cm in diameter and 1 cm wide.
i found some modern foam tyred ones in my bits box, i might be able to make new hubs to make them look more vintage.

I had to send it "Standard parcels"... to get it there any faster would have cost an extra £7.00 postage & that's money that could go on more goodies.
I haven't included the dope, sanding sealer or those small wheels yet .... they were a bit tricky to pack with this so I'll fill a shoe box and get that off to you asap.
I did find some litho plate which may do for the metal you want ... bin it if not.
It's well over a meter long so I don't think it will go through your letter box. ... watch out for the post man after Tuesday.

i have a copy of the original 1929 drawings courtesy of the brooklands museum trust.
the first draft had 6 guns and no wheel spats.
this is the one i am building.
not looked at it today, thought i would do something else.
i will send you the postage.

i have some thin brass bar, so i thought i would use it to make some fairleads that i can fit in the side of the fuselage to run the fishing trace through.
it has to run from the servo, throught the side of the fuse and out to 1 rudder, then from that rudder over to the other one and then back through the fuse to the servo.
gonna be fun getting it all tensioned right.
will look scale though.

spent most of the day running round for other people.
i did get to spend all of 2 hours on my build.
cut the wire
made the groove
cut the sleeves
made the mount ( i hope)
had a trial fit.
the mount/hinge has to fitted to the top of 4 diagonal poles mounted to the fuselage, then the rudders hang off of the hooks on the end.
they then join up in the same way to the bottom tail plane and bobs ya uncle. ( we hope)

spent ages trying to make up a jig to hold the top tailplane in place so i can make the support legs.
frustrating or what.
it needs to hold in 3 planes and still give me space to measure the bits i need to make.
keeps bloody moving.
