Spinner needs to be attacked with the scotchbrite to dull it down a bit. Hard to find spinners that are not pointy, especially the ones with aluminum back plates. Also choosing the paint by a sticker on the tin is hit and miss. I am pleased with the green now, it looks right, I can live with it.

She had her first flights today!!!
Only a couple of clicks of down and one of right and she was in the groove. No vices, just the amp being out of any airflow was a bit hot. It was a hot day here too, 26deg.
Glad to bring her home in one piece. Sorry no flying pics yet.

Cheers! Must say I'm feeling a bit chuffed! Didn't need any Pb
CG was about 3mm in front of the plan. Flies much nicer than the Hurricace.

Well done mate, I am so pleased for you. You put a lot of effort into this , and have reaped your just rewards. The smile will remain on your face for a long time I guess. She looks great in the pics, but she is on the deck. Any chance of flying pics next time ?? Well chuffed for you

Garry

Got some pics yesterday. Conditions were very gusty with nasty cross winds. Had a hard landing on the 2nd flight and ripped of a gear door, one canon and snapped the plastic on one of the retracts. Nice to have Monday morning off work to fix Sunday's mishaps.

I suspect that everyone out flying yesterday was plagued by significant turbulence. Lovely Spit.

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

Cheers!
As I mentioned on the maiden the esc was getting hot. Too hot to touch! I've added a 5v fan from a PC on top of the battery. The bec has two outputs, so one runs the fan. Esc was barely warm. Should have some more flight pics from the other cameraman soon.

I thought of feeding air in one rad and out of the other. Maybe on the next one.
The first pic was from a print out that was given to me today but he forgot to bring his USB stick.
