Are you close to a slope soaring site ?

Being in Cornwall you are not far from the sea, there are lots of cliffs and headlands, and there will be suitable slopes near by.

A flat area is handy for a powered glider.

How about a balsa cabin sonata, electric powered, or similar ?

A kit so reproducible....

You are aware about relatively recent law changes, op number, flyer number, bmfa RCC test or the caa one ?

Check out bmfa for new regs etc..

The cliffs and rolling slopes of West Cornwall mean there are any number of sites where you can practice without damage, picking the right day can mean being very patient. There is an excellent book by Kelvin Shacklock called "Aircraft Workshop: Learn to make models that fly" in which he describes how to teach yourself from a slope. It also contains plans for a beginner glider that morphs into a pusher and can be copied and scaled up or down.

Do it now, you may never get another chance

Many thanks for that Klipkop. I'll try to get a copy of the book.
Have managed to get full size Super 60 plans form Paul on this forum which is good news.
Will keep you posted as it progresses.
