Its what I call my 'Headcam'.
Actually one of those little key fob jobs fixed on a head torch mounting.
The cam is simply held in a close fitting Depron box.
The final touch is a simple 'ring' sight to keep the plane in the centre (more or less!) of the frame.
Of course this can only be set up accurately for one eye but as that is what I have its no problem.
The picture quality is not bad although the original is much sharper prior to the 'processing' done by YouTube.
Probably looks a bit odd wearing it but then I expect the passing dog walkers think I'm daft anyway!
Personally I rather prefer a plane mounted view. Although it tends to be harder to watch it does give a better idea of what the plane is actually doing.

They're a little rounded box just over an inch a side, and about 3/8 inch thick. Take an SD card.

Small and light enough you really can mount them almost anywhere on a decent sized plane.
As with any video camera avoid looking through the prop as you get interference lines.
It may take a couple of goes before you get the inclination right so you see the right amount of ground and sky.
This gives an idea of the quality. Being a pusher the cam in just mounted on the nose.
Remember the original cam quality is rather better as YouTube 'condense' the file size quite a bit when they load it.
PS My current key fob cam cost quite a bit less than the cost of the 4Gig microSD card to go in it!
PPS Get a decent class 4 one otherwise you will get frame 'freezing'.

The mini flash card should be supplied, if you bought the one I posted. It's only a tiny thing, about a1/4 inch square and 1/16 thick. (like a slice off one key on your keyboard!)
