Sorting things out.... Cessna

What do you think of my shopping basket? Will this get me in the air? I plan to use a full range AR6200 receiver in it as I have one lying around.
If anyone has any suggestions in terms of aircraft other than this one I would muchly appreciate it, I have sort of jumped into this one because it seems the best haha

Are you sure you want a low wing P47 if you didn't like a high wing Cessna?
Still its a nice plane.

A few minor points
Does the P47 use the same connectors as on the battery?
Have you got a suitable power supply for the charger?

hmm I'm really not sure, I have flown array of low wing models, i.e. (my day to day flying model) the Chipmunk, I have flown a PT-19 aswell, not sure how different it'll be, have also flown an SU-26 and Funtana. I'm really not sure... the Cessna would have been easy to fly, it just scared me a little I guess. Big and clumsy for my style of flying
I will have to check the batteries to the P-47, didn't think of that, thank you! I have a 12v battery which I have in my flight box for powering the power panel, will that work or do I need a full car battery?

After looking there is nothing to say whether it will or won't The pictures look like they do?

What is the capacity (Ah) of the battery in your flight box?
Divide its Ah capacity by 2.2 and subtract one (to leave a bit of charge in the flight box) will give you the number of charges it can do.

How many flights are you expecting to do in a day?
I presume you have a suitable 12V power supply at home.

I would buy 2 batteries so I'm guessing around (average) 4 flights? I also have my chipmunk to fly so maybe less, it depends if I bother to take the chipmunk with me really on the day. I would plan to use the same 12V for charging the batts as the electric starter and glow starter, am I asking too much from the battery? Hmm this looks as if it may get awfully expensive, I'm just really after a warbird I can fly at Barkston and upcoming events where I don't have any time for IC. Might aswell create a wanted Ad... does anyone have an electric warbird, i.e. P-51, P-47, P-40 etc that they are selling? Not too worried about wingspan as long as it is no smaller than 1100mm. I was looking at the starmax range because I have seen good reviews but they seem expensive, like the FMS. Anyone have any experience with them? Hmm really don't know what to do!

Edit: I have a trickle charger that my Dad uses on his sports car in the winter but not sure if that really works, I have another one not sure if that works either haha

You know Tom, that does not look half bad, you seem to have flown a range of low wing, mid wing, and in general, everything you need to have flown to have success with tehis plane, as for your battery, our guys have bloody big caravan leisure batteries, so your flight box battery has no cn=hance, then, there is the charger, it has to be good, or you may burn the house down, then there batterys, standard thing is 1 running, one on charge, and one charged can you see the price going up from your £139? but, the model looks great,

If you are intending to recharge the flight batteries at the field then you will need a decent sized battery to do it through the charger/balancer you propose but remember it can take up to an hour for each battery.

The battery in a car can be used but peeps have over done this during the day and found they could not start when they wanted to go home!

You will also need a suitable mains power source for the charger/balancer when you are at home and don't forget you will need to be able to charge your field battery as well if you have one.

It does simplify things a bit if you can just take enough charged batteries with you for your days flying!

I am fortunate that I live very close to where I fly so I only ever take one battery per plane!
