now get on with the build and post lots of pictures up.

I used a jig for this one, purchased from Mr Nijhuis off the Slec stand at rougham model air show, great bit of kit that i would recommend to anyone, also Tony is a really helpful nice guy.

And i am afraid that is where my hard drive went bye bye! the wings as you can see in the kit picture are obeche sheeted medium density Styrofoam, so too are the ailerons & all are caped with medium leading & soft trailing however i upgraded each end of the ailerons ends & the point they meet the wing with medium C grain rib stock sheet as apposed to standard grain balsa, the area where rudder & elevator exits are too upgraded with C grain rib stock, the piano wire undercarriage went in the bin & i fabricated my own aluminum in two different sizes, allowing for larger propeller that the super tigre 2000 25cc would take, the tail feathers are built up type & i think this was the hardest part of the build, i fabricated a small sanding jig with adjustable angles to achieve the correct alinement of the parts upon gluing, firstly though i re designed the rudder & fin to more resemble that off the laser 200

Here are some as she sits now, still a lot of work to do, the super tigre 2000 is coming off for now, the tailplane bracing wires still have to be done i dont know where to start!!!! i tried the flattened brass tube soldered over the piano wire method but failed miserably

weight is at 7lbs without engine & radio, tell a lie there is one 1/4 scale servo in there for the rudder, so really i dont want an engine over 3lbs do i?

The canopy looks pants, i am going to re fit it & black it out, i got a pilot but want to save weight.

Yeah sorry i do disappear for a bit but i will always come back, i love model Aviation & i love engineering.

The tail wheel & assembly are falcon aviation items, they wont be up to the task, it seems flimsy & i'm sure the sponge tire would be ripped off, i'm going to try fabricate my own out of aluminum .

Now this is whats going to stir some things up, i did say earlier that i am working on a little engine project as well didn't i, i have been researching & studying these things to the point where my head has nearly exploded, after 6 months waiting for one to be available after the second one i found was stolen by a nuisance neighbor & the first one has some conversion issues (not my doing)
Here it is at the moment still lots of work to do if i could just grab that neighbor with the lath & get him to turn me off a prop hub i will be well away, i will be fabricating a radial mount out of aluminum & some vibration mounts from Apache Aviation, the mag fly wheel will need trimming down too & re balancing, this will be done by my hands.



The American made 28cc RYOBI engine

I'm hoping to achieve 7000 rpm with an 18 x 8 just engines wood propeller, very nice props indeed these are, i am not looking for ballistic crazy 3d performance, nice scale like flying characteristics is what i am in search of & cheap to fuel.
