I did notice that you can buy 'twisted' servo wire which would presumably reduce/eliminate any 'parallel wire' effect.
I shall have to buy some & try.

I tested both servos individually with their 'as provided' leads and also connected in a Y, no problem. I have put each servo individually on the long lead and also both at once. The result was always the same.
Just for completeness I used a 5 g and 9 g and they did the same too but to a slightly lesser degree.
I just surprised I have not come across this effect before with my biggest light weight planes.

As crash suggests digital servos may be the best answer.
I will have to see if I can find a really small digital servo.

In the video the hesitant servo had its own long & heavier gauge wire (26 AWG rather then 32 for the short one) from the servo tester.
I think this suggests the problem is related purely to the length of the wire.
I did consider using an independent and remote long signal wire but realised that if the signal was being corrupted by some sort of wire proximity it would require its own remote earth return as well or in other words it would be a 4 wire servo - signal + return and power + return.
At this point my brain started to hurt as I suspect the proper answer will only come when exactly what is going on is identified which would require equipment I don't have.
As the results using 5 and 9 g servos showed an improvement I do wonder if in achieving the very small 3.7 g size the stray voltage filtering tolerance has been sacrificed within the servo itself.
Normally this shortcoming would not be obvious as only a 'crazy' person would try to use a 3.7 g servo on a size of plane that required a such a wire length!
I have found what is claimed to be a 3.7 g digital servo.
It may be but the case looks identical even to the same translucent blue plastic so it might just be 'digital' because the label on the case says so.

Eric, you know full well that the use of the words analogue or digital refers to the way in which the servo itself generates its own position signal to compare with the incoming mark/space signal.Eric wrote: All servos are 'digital' - because they use a mark/space ratio variation for positioning!
Actually, to be properly digital the signal should be a series of ones and zeros with a start and stop bit to tell the servo what number the output shaft should be at, ie, 0 for full anticlockwise, 512 for centre and 1024 for fully clockwise. Using a 16bit system the servo number could be contained in the first few bits, so you don't have to tell the servos where they're supposed to be. (not your address so stay where you are) thus getting away from the 'Latency' problems that some hot shot pilots complain of.

Paul - depending on your interpretation - morse code is also digital, as it is a series of marks and spaces!
