I'm sure it's on correctly Tony, I'm going to check Watts tomorrow, it's a 6x6 prop I'm going to up it to a 9x6 and see what happens, I'll probably have to limit the revs to save the ESC, it's only 12amp.

With a 6x6 the prop is likely stalling at low speed as well as the wing!
I would suggest a 8x3.8 as 2 "up on diameter & 2" down on pitch equals aprrox the same power.. It would likely save the ESC and would provide more low speed thrust, maybe even > 1:! which should solve any launch issues.

I hear you Simon, it's a question of availability = what I have on the shelf. I do have an 8x4.5 for which I will have to modify the centre, the existing prop inner mounts are 8mm and the 8x4.5 are 5mm but I might just use washers for the power test.

A test this morning with the 6x6 prop showed 2.5amps at 7.5volts = 18.75watts. On a 240gm model = .53lb = 35watts/lb, hardly surprising she won't fly! With the 9x6 I get 5.6amps or 84watts/lb. Hardly earth shattering but should at least get her into the air. It's a 12amp ESC for the record.
