well a nice copy of the original 3 view drawings has arrived.
dated aug 1929, it the pre prototype drawing so is slightly different from the flying plane.

and its in 1/48 scale, so all i got to do is re draw it to 1/12 scale and we can start building.

this is going to be fun.:cheer:

6 vickers machine guns to make eventualy,
7 figures, some bombs.
he he i am looking forward to this one.

plus the museum want updates as the build goes on.:)

fingers crossed i can pull this one off.

Looks good Bloop, a man after my own heart. I've got a Stranraer plans on the back burner, so I'll be watching with interest.

well i have started on the drawings.
i decided that 1/12 was too big.
so 1/16 is the scale now.
the side view of the fuselage is now done, i need to do the top view next so i can design the formers.
so now the fuselage will be 51" long and the wingspan 67"
bit big. :P

Hi Bloop, you could always use a Clark Y, it's more reliable at stall. You must just give the wings -1degree relative to one another.

i debated about the clarke y.
i think a little bit of lee way from true scale will be ok if it helps it fly better.
so top wing -1degree relative to the bottom one.

hope fully get some more done today.:cheer:

You got it Bloop, somehow changes it from a beast to a Pussy cat, I'm told. I built a Hot Canary for a guy years ago, it was just about unflyable! An old guy who was a rigger for the SAAF gave him the tip.
