this will be a fun bit to build.
both the biplane elevators and the twin rudders are flying ones.
ie: all of the horizontal stab and vertical stab have to move.

every thing is done with a steel ruler and scalpel now.

the wings will be in 3 parts to aid with storage and posting to garry.
center section will be fixed to the fuselage as it contains all the engines, with just the tips being removable.
pic of the drawings i got from brooklands museum.
had a final measure up of the wingspan from my drawings and it will be 68"
i must look at how to build some machine guns and figures as well.

I see the planes tail is alot smaller than i thought so my idea or carbon tubes inside one another wont work..

its not a huge tail when you look at it.
its on hold for a while to give me time to work out how to do it.
back to wing rib cutting today.

cut the bottom off of the fuselage and test fit.
with the top of the leading edge butting up to the longeron and the rear spar level with the floor it is in the exact right incidence.
i had to cut out 1 section of spar to clear a longeron.
now i need to build up the leading and trailing edges add the diagonals, bracing for engine and wheel mounts,connectors for the wire rigging.
then it can be slotted in place temporarily until i am ready for covering.
phew another bit nearly done.
