Just checked against the plan and they are better than I could cut by hand for accuracy.

Couldn't resist trying them dry fitted onto the spars. Perfect !!

If I ever leave my current school, I'm going to have to save up and buy a decent laser cutter. It's just too much fun to watch. Hours on the CAD, less than a minute to cut out.

Why not use carbon wing tubes ? They are very easy and quick to get from fishing rod makers .They will make to specific sizes if required. Harrison's Rods in Liverpool are specifically catering for modellers now .Correct tapers thicker walls you name it they will do it for you at very reasonable prices.the TUFNOL ? ones you have ordered are very traditional but dear and heavy. Bear it in mind for your next build . Following the thread with interest .Always liked the Vampire , Venom etc

Will bear that in mind, but I've just gone with what the original design used in this case. I do agree that the price is ridiculous for what you actually get.

Was hoping to cut some more parts tomorrow as the students don't get to use the laser cutter on a Saturday, but I've just been too tired tonight to convert the tail booms and formers into cad. Got over 60 reports to write this weekend, so there is going to be little progress.
