Does the maths put you off Electronics? Check here

A lot of people have given their feedback on another thread in this category & it's no surprise to me that as soon as some peeps see maths symbols or formula, they go blind & lose interest.

It's an unfortunate thing that peeps think of maths as a problem .... take it one step at a time & it becomes easy.

The most important thing is to SHOUT OUT! if there's something you don't understand.... don't suffer in silence.

I'll give you an example of how far back to basics I'm prepared to go .... what is meant by

I think most of us know it just means 1 divided by 2 .... if anyone doesn't understand this then please PM me.

I've got that feeling as well Klippy .... but the problem is you never know ... Bloop, must ask you to be serious for the benefit of those that honestly don't understand the question.

The trick here is to remember that you can multiply or divide the top bit of any fraction providing you do the same to the bottom.

Look at this fraction & divide the bottom bit by 3 ..... what do you get?

It's just the name that scares you .... one half is the same as two quarters & the same as 4 eighths.

no i am genuinely crap at maths.

When do we get to OHMS law ? this is an essential for "electrickery ", unless you all have a watt meter ! lol.
Seriously AMPS X VOLTS = Watts is so useful .Mind you probably off thread ,but what could be easier eg 10A x 11 V = 110 WATTS. This little sum could save blowing up a motor ,ESC or even a LIPO.
