I agree about not using 3 in 1 good though it is at other jobs, I use sewing machine oil, it's very thin and doesn't gum up in time, I also keep my engines pointing nose up wherever possible, any excess oil runs to the back of the crankcase.

balsa is best.

I am told that ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) makes a very good after run oil.
