It looks much like my 'bin-bag re-build' Kyosho 'Calmato Sports 40' - except for the cockpit canopy, which I made from a blue PVC drinks bottle. Actually, from the leading edge, I re-built the forward part of the fuz. 'by guess and by God', as the wreckage was found in a ditch, obviously abandoned, because motor, radio, servos, nose-wheel assy. had been ripped out and it looked like the wing had been snapped in two - all deliberately.

Recently I managed to destroy my S40 due to reversed ailerons, I had changed the aileron servo and thought I had moved the end points too - the S40 really didn't want to roll, so this was my last option before putting individual servos into each wing and replacing the ailerons themselves with something about twice the original size.
On take-off, I gave it "The Beans", as it cleared the ground it dropped a left wing - I corrected and there was a cloud of dust, the motor and prop' declared independence and set off alone with the ESC in tow - the 4500 4s LiPo finished the job. Removal of the floor of the tank bay had weakened everything just too much, despite reinforcement with G/F matt & epoxy resin plus a ply battery tray with 3/8 hardwood round the 'ole where the battery went in.
Shame really, it showed promise if only could have achieved some real aileron authority - pity, at least it was an HK jobby, if it had been from eflite or H9 that would have been bye-bye to 3-4 times as much money!
On the bright side, I've just maidened a BOGEY - half the cost of the S40 - brilliant, stable and aerobatic, so ugly only it's Designer (or it's Mother) could love it. Tough as old boots too.

Horses for courses on this one I think. I bought 2 of them due to the price, sold one , kept one , then bought Tony s. I myself like the model. OK , it doesnt have the aileron authority that it should have , as they are much too small, but for the money, its a damn good model, used as a hack , and test bed , for £40 , cant go wrong. I notice that it is not listed now, did they under price it I wonder ????
