Arrived home to a parcel that had that knowing size that screams ENGINE IN BOX,but when your expecting an engine its no surprise to assume such an always exiting delivery especially when its a saito
And it is the 45 Tony purchased from Alan and very kindly sold to me and Alan needs complimenting because the engine is gorgeous.Many thanks also to Tony and his sister for selling me the engine ans sending it so quickly before Ive even paid.
The even better news is it fits perfectly,all the cut holes are in the right place/
The only job is to get the throttle push rod to reach the throttle lever,its about half inch gap between them

The system that I use on my engine does away with the rigid throttle linkage.

I have rigged up a light spring to hold the throttle closed.

A piece of fine trace wire connects the throttle linkage to the servo. Now, the servo can pull the throttle open against the spring. The spring returns the throttle towards the closed position.

I use this system on several models and it functions very well. One advantage is that the throttle servo is largely isolated from vibration. Another advantage is that the control run can be a little tortuous. No special fitting is needed on the throttle arm, so you can work tight to the bulkhead.

Most, if not all, motor vehicles use exactly the same system. Pull on, spring return but don't you then need a separate mechanism to actually cut the motor?

No, I rig all my engines so that there is no physical stop, limiting the rotation of the carb' barrel.

When I flip the "engine cut" switch on the transmitter, the barrel rotates to a position where the engine cuts. Go to 36 seconds.

Ive figured a way to do the throttle link and its ready for the engine to be bolted in ,But I cannot find the container which holds the parts,and its a big container .Ill carry on searching

You know when you want to make sure something is safe and you put it in a safe place and know youll remeber ,well I didnt which is usual.I have a display cabinet and have started putting engines in there that Im not using.For some reason I looked at the cabinet ,which I had been in earlier looking at a thottle link the I considered using bur discarded .As soo as I looked I remembered it was in there.Engine fitted .Next job is new fuel tubing on tank

Its got an engine in at last, looks ok as well, dont forget what i said about the up elevator forcing the tailplane down, giving a MASSIVE down force, be carefull, ive flown a few of these,

Yes Alan my club mates are looking forward to seeing this one and they now all its faults as we have had them at the club before my time there
