We just got back from a 4 day cycle tour of Suffolk - which exactly coincided with 36C 37C 37.2C and 36C. Stowmarket, Framlingham, Ipswich, Sudbury, Bury St. Edmonds. 180km all in.  When you are cycling along at 25km/hr you make your own breeze but when you stop then it really hits you.  Went in lots of OLD churches where it was 5-8C cooler!  The hotels and B&B mostly only had fans and some only openings in one side so slept (fitfully) on top of the sheet. A couple of nights didn't get below 22C.
Still a rather nice bit of countryside, rolling hills, lots of singe track roads, villages with a capital 'V'. Hollyhocks in their thousands and some nice pubs, lots of thatched roofs and wonkey old walls (things seem to drift sideways after 500-600 years.

Get them laundered!

35C today, but beginning to cool off now - not as humid as it has been, which makes it pleasant.

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!
