I see that the restriction as to height limit has been greatly increased as has the the aircraft all up weight allowed. Anyone planing 999ft Skylarking?

Doesn't that depend on location, FTB? Where our site is, Jets for Liverpool airport come in overhead at about 1000 feet when the wind is in some directions, and we are 'supposed' to have a 400 foot max ceiling.

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

The changes relate to unrestricted airspace only. Spotter still required.

I've got to say it... some of the military come over here ( Lincolnshire Wolds ) ..... without exaggeration .... 150-200ft on odd occasions. Last week there were 6 ( at least ) very low 4-turbo prop transport 'plane passes...The previous weeks here have seen very low level fighter jet action. .... I love it... but it makes flying damn near impossible some days...The video I posted from Calceby Nature reserve.. actually features a fighter jet caught passing about 1/2 mile away at around the same altitude. So whaddayado? I rarely fly above 100m, around 300ft but it often feels innapropriatelly high..and you find yourself listening out for other aircraft rather than enjoying a flight...
