After seeing recent race coverage I've been wanting to try out FPV multi-rotor/quad/drone racing. This was my first step. I researched and selected the FossilsStuff Gravity 250. It's made of HDPE and therefore practically unbreakable...so much so that the manufacturer will replace the airframe if it...

I thought FPV Quad racing was difficult but these guys throw their quads into impressive unstable spins and flips and then have to get them stable again before they hit the deck. Can't imagine how hard this is! [video]

One of the guys at Halton flies quad aerobatics and racing, using FPV. Don't ask me how he can tell which way up the things are, because I can't, when I'm standing next to him! Front or back is easy - he has a high-bright LED on the front! I sometimes 'help' him by being Line-Of-Sight spotter when...

High mounted motor pod launch problems? I have found a 'high wing and motor' configuration (i.e a wing pylon) largely overcomes this problem as it puts the majority of the drag (the wing) close to the centre of thrust. [attachment] I suppose it does put the prop a bit closer to your fingers but I...

I've got to say it... some of the military come over here ( Lincolnshire Wolds ) ..... without exaggeration .... 150-200ft on odd occasions. Last week there were 6 ( at least ) very low 4-turbo prop transport 'plane passes...The previous weeks here have seen very low level fighter jet action. .......

FPV Raptor.... I found out when I got to the crash scen, that one of the flaps had ripped free and was hanging at an angle. Had I been LOS I think I could've handled it, but not knowing your problem, how do you counter it...turn down your volume!! Cpl...

I needed a Demo hack for FPV so dug out this old Thor 40 from the junk pile. [attachment] [attachment] Obviously badly needing a cleanup, and it's had stuff dropped on it from time to time. [attachment]
