Added flaps transform FPV Raptor. was created by Cpl Jones
These Raptors if you've never had one or are looking at one as a platform or LOS glider/trainer, then the major problem people experience with this airframe is that because of the unusual thrust angle from the rear facing top mounted power pod, hand launching is an absolute nightmare. The 'plane simply dives at the floor when you throw it off. This is bad enough if you're LOS but when you're 'Immersed' with goggles on, so essentially blind to what is around you and frantically trying to get your fingers back on the sticks after hand launching, it can so easilly end in tears. I have finally added flaps to the model The flaps come pre formed, but inoperative without electrics. So for the cost of 2 medium quality servos the 'plane has been transformed. 2/3 throttle, level chuck, up she goes without a hint of the previous problems heading straight for the ground..

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

It looks like a pregnant Bixler, and they launch the same, being a high-mount pusher. They need a good fast chuck to get them away, or they happily skid take-off from grass.

High mounted motor pod launch problems?
I have found a 'high wing and motor' configuration (i.e a wing pylon) largely overcomes this problem as it puts the majority of the drag (the wing) close to the centre of thrust.
I suppose it does put the prop a bit closer to your fingers but I have never caught mine in a great many launches over the years.
