Now if it was a zip!
All right then - if you are going to sulk I'll give you the putty medal instead - but it's not baked, glazed or gold plated.
You can have the zipper if you like but it's the plastic one made in China - The Black Wizard is very frugal with the value of the Forum's prizes. I wasn't going to mention it but he blows his budget allocation buying Tutu's.   :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

The VTOL is a Convair XFY1 - Pogo

I'm completely stumped on what looks like a UAV.

    Well you got me there Klippy - I confess - I was a snot nosed Airforce Apprentice - joined up at 15 years of age in 1957 (I think - it's a long time ago) Done my time as a ground hog and ended up remustering to Air Crew - one of my usual errors  ) It was - I think - I am 70 years old now and I can plead the occasional Senior Moment - in about my third or final year I got to sit (briefly) in the Pica.
The UAV you can't recognise is a Jindivik - you just need to tell me which model.

Isn't it funny, you'd think the Yanks had invented UAV's, and you guys have been making them since the 50's.
Growing old is compulsory Mick, I'm only 2 years behind you!

I thought the manufacturers were very protective about their names with an unwritten rule they did not poach, but I suppose the wartime needs over rode such niceties.
The Pogo was the only VTOL aircraft that never took off horizontally. The first flight had to include a transition both ways. Definitely a job for a 'right stuff' test pilot! :woohoo:
The other one ( Lockheed Salmon ) had a temporary fixed U/C for the first few flights.

Cheating???? Who me ?????   We even sold some Jindiviks to the Yanks - and the POM's, now here is a question for you Tony - what is the OTHER drone we invented down here?? Clue - it came along later than the Jindiviks and was appreciatively cheaper to manufacture.
Now - about catching up - actually you do - a little bit each year - for a while - my birthday is later in the year than yours.

Well I did say DRONE - not UAV Klippy - but it's not that one!
Oh - one more clue - it had an official "A" number - series 2.
