It looks good to my eyes sky, your going for an overal effect, like i did on my RailRoad, it was not scientificly correct but the trains looked good going through it
I used clear silicon to make my water fall highlighted with white acrilic paint

This is the best approach Sky, you're creating a work of art, not a scientific model.
You've got to use that artistic license and build the picture you visualize in your brain.
Only you know what that is. :)

Pol.

You will not start a war Sky, believe me , It will not be allowed to develop that way.

Th main thing with modelling is ask yourself "Do I like it " If the answer is YES , then it is correct, and if others dont agree, so what .? Its yours, you like it , end of story in my book Sky. Indecently , for what its worth, I think it is great, keep it coming.

Garry .

This is the bit I like most, how did you get those cracks in the rocks to look so realistic?

first i used woodlands rock mold and then done fine details with hobby knife and then used 4 different colors and then a black wash. i will do photos in the day as the colors look better in light .

You can use rubber latex on pieces of coal, coal has a very good structured surface on curtain pieces, just go to a heap of it and look for the most effective bits, paint it with the latex when dry peal it off and bingo , fill the mould with plaster slap it on the surface when dry peal the mould of,
You can turn them every which way to get different looking surfaces,

Garry put - Indecently , for what its worth, - - What's rude about it? :P (We all know you meant incidentally! :woohoo: )

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

Ha ha , he doesnt miss a trick on spelling. However the reason was that before i discovered spell check , my spelling was awful, and I spelled incidentally wrong , and being in a hurry , checked it, and put the first one on the list up, and old sod and his law struck again :( :( :(

You could put a light wash of black on the rock faces it will highlight all the little nitches and crevices
Looking good Sky
