Hi Manny, I would not have cut the templates to the exact size, you need to leave more paper around them to keep them inline, you will have to be very careful when you lay them out on the plywood to make sure they are dead straight,
Once glued to they ply you can trim excess away and the final cut with the saw will be to the finished line
Thanks: boz

One could go slightly off ( or is it completely ) off topic and do one of these for one turbine and a blank nacelle. It could be fun www.fantastic-plastic.com/HeinkelHeP1073-8CatalogPage.htm
Shoot me down if you like but I think it is a bit unusual and may raise an eyebrow or two on the flight lines. and be a sort of test bed for proving out the system for the SR 71 Just a thought

Hey yeah so I am building a sr71 1:7 scale 8foot wingspan and I am practicing cutting formers from a smaller scale plan. Bottom line I am currently just refreshing my ability to use a scroll saw by cutting some formers

Ah! I understand now. It looks as though you don't need much practice my friend. However like riding a bike you never forget how. Doing nicely anyway Keep up the good work . John

Nice saw sir .but am intrigued by the bright metal item to the left of it .I assume it is somehow connected to the saw. If it is can you explain how it works .Thanks John

That's a router John nothing to do with the saw, I think the SR71 has a wingspan of about 4feet or 1200mm it will be nearer 8feet long though ;)
