If we weren't - we wouldn't be doing this crazy hobby! :S

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

As you can see, the underside is laminated. Now i intend to fit the fin and aileron mounts, after they are done i can do electronics then seal the engine bay.
When fitting the fin i will use carbon fibre rods and balsa blocks, the fin will be fixed permanently so i have to get it right.
The way i fix it is i get the wing mounts either side and measure to the table, adjust and fix, that`s the fuz fixed, i then fix fin to roof of shed with plum bob and glue

I am doing something totally different on this build.
On all working surfaces the servo directly moves the surface. You have to use a very powerful servo. I've got 50kg torque Servox .
No horns or rods but all clean surfaces, just like the real thing
pics to follow

If roll control on the TSR is the same as the Tornado - done by the tail feathers, not by surfaces on the main wing, they would be called elevons - a contraction of elevator and aileron.
-
Surfaces directly driven - no pushrods - the same method Quorneng uses on his ultra-lights.
You will need to have provision for fine trim adjustments, though! :)

12 years. Wow!
There not puffy, they just got a bit 'portly' with age. :P
