just to say that in the past this event has recieved some press coverage, so you may have seen it in one of the mags, we keep it very informal, fly when and as often as you like, the only thing we ask is that try to keep like types flying together, as in if there are a bunch of small fomies flying dont join in with a 1/4 scale warbird with 150cc petrol motor, just wait 5 mins and you will get a flight.

the steak went the way of the camping unfortunately we have had to putoff the sat evening as the area for caravans is more akin to boating at present, but the Sunday is a go!! i assume Barney is a dog or a child!!! and as long a either is kept on a leash no problem, there is no charge for the day only thing you will need money for is breakfast bacon butties, or lunchtime burgers, if you want to bring anything yourselves to eat cookers are available too!! will be sending out post codes etc from next Monday, meantime you can check out our website, Google DRCF, and google maps will give you a good aerial shot if you search for,,,,wait for it,,,,Ladyhole lane Ashbourne, no sniggering now.

A couple of years ago, Tony Robinson and his Time Team gang had a 'dig', and across one side of the site was a stream genuinely called shit brook. And an earlier site had a piddle brook next to it. That WILL get modded!

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

Along the lane is our only close resident, who we are on good terms with, and they live in the house that was once the centre of the estate/farm that became RAF Ashbourne...........Ladyhole House!!!

I would like to come and possibly bring along a couple of scale jobs but they do need calm, and I mean calm, weather to fly and as belly landers have to land on grass.
Sarah has seen one of them flying.

Nice site - shows up well on Google Earth!

Do you get to it from Lady Hole Lane via these big steel gates?
