Obby's Spitfire was created by obollox
After cutting my teeth on the Hurricane, I have just got my hands on a TN Spitfire kit 62". Got my sister in the UK to kindly purchase it off eBay and post it out to me. It's the full kit CNC parts plus all the wood , plans and canopy. She used parcelmonkey which was half the price of parcel force and they collected it from her house. Worked out cheaper than buying it in the UK. If anyone is interested I'll post some pics of the build.

Welcome back Louden, of course we want pictures & a build thread. The more members who start build threads, the more we attract interest. The more interest & the more people join up. The more that join up, the more build threads get started. :)
It's a vicious circle that works great for us.
I'll assume you know how to do the thread, but if you need any help, just shout. ;)

Pol.

I just own the forum .... you guys make it great thanks.

Thanks for the encouragement. Nice to be breathing balsa dust again! So far I've got the fuse sides together and the wing doublers stuck on. Still got a big pile of balsa to work through. Noticed a mistake on the plans the right side should be shorter, not the left.

Mine doesn't leak any oil !
Slow progress being made on the Spitfire. Got the triangle sections glued in place and tapered down so the rear can be pulled together. Spent a while head scratching as to the battery and servo placement. Trying to get all the gubbins as far forward as possible.

Fuse is going together. Starting to look like an aeroplane. Must stock up on some more clamps next time I'm in the 100yen shop!

Took a bit of wiggling to get it all inline and straight.
