I was looking on Google earlier and found the wikipedia link - did you know that the left wing was longer than the right one to counter prop reaction, and that the ailerons were coupled to the flaps to give full span flap effect?
It's main fault seems to have been a tendency to flat spin, cured by some clever so and so nailing ply to the wing surface, changing the section. Italian engineering at it's best :S

Google found a couple of links- BH Macchi , and general Macchi 200

Sorry - second link seems to have gone wrong!

What engine are you using Geoff? A search on RCU comes up with the septics finding 120 four strokes enough - amazing as I thought they would have gone the other way with 50cc petrol.

Back to doing a bit today. Bought a new pc Tuesday so ive been fiddling with that and wife went to bed early last night as shes got a chest infection . I started to watch tv and woke up on the settee freezing at 1am :( :(
Anyway ive added the horns this morning and got them painted using humbrol 165 which seems a reasonable match. I thought they would look better in grey than having big black bits waggling about.horns are the usual Blackhorse moulded items that they use on larger models are are well up to the job

Bit more done tonight. Aileron horns fitted and painted and also rear of firewall / cowl ring.ive also painted the inside of the wheel wells and doors green. Some of it might look a bit rough round the edges but it's hidden in the wing joint but I've painted it to minimise the risk of seeing bare wood

Geoff, do you intend using the supplied air retracts? If so what do you use to split the pipes for removing the wings? I'm sore tempted to go electric, except a decent set of electrics is around the £200 mark.

I sprayed one of the tail plane halfs in satin fuel proofer yesterday and the result is just what I was looking for. Photos below are of one half sprayed the other not for comparison
