As it is my model, I'm getting in a plug for it! If you want a copy for your own use, drop me a line. £5 per cd, and before you say that's a rip-off, all profits go to my local cancer hospice - St Rocco's, which is entirely charity-funded.
No you are NOT allowed to make copies, kits, or models, and sell them on! Anyone who does so will get a visit from the heavy mob!

Hi Eric, this clip evokes a feeling of anger in me!
Ok, so the slope is open to all, but the Parasailers' are minding their own business, they've got the filght envelope of a brick, anyway. And here is this RCer threatening their lives! No wonder so many sites are being lost! If I was a site owner, or Authority, I would look at it and go cold! The last thing you need is a death. I would say, right, no flying, at all, by anybody! I might be persuaded to allow Hang gliders and Parasailers, but no RCers!
There was a death on the Tygerberg in Cape Town, prior to that there had been quite a number of near misses, but nobody was prompted to do anything! Only after someone crashed to their death, unconscious, did they get together and come up with agreements as to who would fly, and when.
I even thing the guy who posted it, is completely wrong to brag about it! Then the pilot buzzes the camera man! It gives the wrong kind of idea about our kind of people!
Sorry, it touched a nerve!
Tin hat on and back in shell hole!

Do it now, you may never get another chance

Re-reading my blast, I realise it might seem I'm getting at Eric, I'M NOT! He innocently posted a clip which shows his Rivington Hawk, looks like a nice flyer. I'm getting at the muppet who posted the clip, and the eejit who flew it!

That video has left me lost for words. I'm surprised one of those paragliders didn't stick the blokes Tx where the wind smells a bit funny.
I remember various debates on RCM&E about posting videos that show stupid actions. Some say it encourages these actions but personally I think we should show these idiots for what they are.

It is possible that some people just don't realise the danger they are causing, but our posts must at least help to point this out to newcomers.

Back on topic ..... any chance of a picture of the Rivington Hawk Model Eric?

Polyphilla.

I just own the forum .... you guys make it great thanks.

copies of plans - not a clue - several dozen.
Where did the name come from - well, it looks like a Hawk, (if you need glasses), and I fly with the Rivington Soaring Association. Work it out for yourself, I'll send you a pencil, or a bit of sharpened dowel, if you need it! :P
