Does anyone know of a company that will transport a 2.4M box world wide?

DHL or UPS are your best bets.

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

As far as I can tell
DHL have a limit of 1200 x 800 x 800
UPS will air freight big packages (eg 2400x400x400 mm & up to 64kg for that size) UK to Africa for around £300. Bigger gets seriously expensive!

Thanks Simon, I looked at UPS (who don't have a good rep here) but obviously didn't find the page you did. Now, how can we get it from Cyprus to the UK? [badass]

Have a word with the RAF at Akrotiri, get BB to drop it off, and send it to Brize Norton on one of the MATS shuttles! :woohoo:  [badass]

The freight calculator on the UPS web site shows it is slightly more expensive for a 2400x400x400 mm package from Cyprus to UK. About £330! You need the exact addresses, weight and value to get the cost exactly.

Thanks, you seem to have access to a different site. Is there a price for Cyprus to SA, Pretoria?
Folks there was a reason for my original question, I was hoping to persuade BB to sell me something but there's no point in making an offer if I can't get it here!

Strap it to his 104, and fly it! (or was that what you were hoping to persuade him to sell?) :woohoo:

According to their site UPS do not ship 'freight' from Cyprus! :(
It possible to ship a 2400 x 40 x 40 mm parcel from Cyprus to SA (fictitious addresses in Nicosia and Jo'burg!) but only as a 'package' which is ferociously expensive - over 2000 EUR! :
Package rates are much more sensitive to size and weight than freight so the true cost would very much depend on the actual details.

Thanks for your kind help Simon, it looks as though I'll have to junk the idea. I was hoping to persuade Tony (BB) to sell me his Lancaster! 300 to 400quid was OK, ish, but at 1800+ and still agree a price is just plain stupid. For that money I can buy the motors, kit, build it, fit it out and still have lots of change! :(
