Switch on your TX, then find the little button on your RX. While pressing the button plug your RX to power (very difficult with old fingers) the RX light will turn to green, it's bound to your TX. The 8fg doesn't remember RX numbers which some TXs do.
To check binding turn RX off, then TX. Turn TX on then RX, the RX should come up green.
Do it now, you may never get another chance

The easy way is to put a spare flight switch between battery and rx, then having turned the tx on, and pressed the bind button, just flip the rx switch! Job done!
It's easier than trying to plug in one-handed!
