my debit card

My debit card was blocked 10 days ago, we were in the fish and chip shop, i had forgot my glasses and use the wrong card, the card was ok but i put the number of another card i thought i was using, 3 times and rightly it was blocked , tried loads of times every day for a week to get through on the phone, no joy always busy, finally got to them on live chat, only to be told it was not blocked ???and they said the last time it was blocked was in August by the fraud squad ?? gulp why
so i went six mile to the nearest cash point and drew 20 euro, it work fine, then i went to a shop filled my basket and , it was declined, ~@$~~### back to the cash point tried again , no problem, to another shop again a full basket , this time it said blocked
came back home got on the live chat, the phone lines were busy on both numbers, the cards not blocked they said ???? now that is three different shops and all blocked
What with this and the weather i should have stayed in 2018 :S :evil: [badass]

And 'THEY' want us to move to a cashless society.

I had a similar problem but with Sainsbury. No joy with the card in the shop but it did work on the Sainbury 'hole in the wall' outside.
Went to the bank and they confirmed the cards was not blocked but pointed out that although 'holes in the wall' use the banking software system many shops use their own or other propriety systems.
Went back to Sainsbury where the supervisor unblocked the card no problem.

As in, it won't do what I want it too, only what I tell it!

I had this with Amazon but no problem on E Bay. Eventually was able to contact Amazon who sent a new I.D. no but no explanation why card wasn't accepted. Still non the wiser as even bank can't say.[hr]

i buy on e bay nearly every day my barclays card wont work because e bay is tryind an old deleted card when i change the detailos it still doesnt take the payment and revert back to an old card so i tried to pay by credit card and it went straight through

I think it's in your 'settings' - you tell e-bay that your old card is obsolete, and to use the new one - it's just a button-click to change to the new card, and make it your 'primary'.

Ive tired everything and using a credit card was theonly way it workedI deleted the old card several times put the new card in and it just reverted to the old card .E Bay deleted the old cards and still it reverted to them

we should go back to trading in donkeys and produce
