Rest in peace BEB, I am saddened to hear that Dave Burton has gone to join the others who have finally retired and gone to the big airfield in the sky. Unlike some others I always found him to be thoughtful and helpful. BEB was a moderator on another site, and a good one at that.

Do it now, you may never get another chance

I followed BEB postings for many years but I only met him once at a club fly in and just a couple of months before his death. Very sad.

I met Dave twice at Woodvale 'drome on Gala days. Very nice man. Marg liked him too. I heard he passed a few weeks ago via RCME forum Sadly missed. His advice was always very welcome. In his honour their [RCME's] cafe is now Biggles Mess Very apt. I wondered if he was one of the clothing range family but never got to ask him.

Anything will fly given enough power

I too was a bit sad to learn about this, I found him very pleasant both in the RCM&E Forum and in person.

Have a nice Day, unless I don't like you.

When I returned to flying after my 30 year break BEB gave me a trainer to practice on while I got my confidence back, he was a true gent.
He was also a committee member of my local club, Wirral Radio Control Flying Society, although I'm not a current member I have been in the past and often chatted with him. ...... He took over the task of moderator with RCM&E when I left the job. I'm glad they've named their Cafe after him, I was the one who created their first "Cafe" ...... It was their most posted and longest running thread at one point, It's now locked but I believe it's still there...... www.modelflying.co.uk/forums/postings.asp?th=28114

I felt really sad when I read Klippy's post, it was the first I'd heard of his death. :(
