Bus service was created by THE BLACKBIRD
Im beginning to wonder if i need my van as iv not driven since my heart attacks last November and quite frankly have not really missed it as we have a very good bus service to anywhere local and a train station just down the road, also i have a free bus pass that i can use on the local trains
Last year the insurance company wanted over £1300 of me to insure the van   thats more that double the year before, plus the £ 350 or what ever it is to tax it
I use to use it to go down to Northamptonshire to see my son and his family but since he died last year iv not been invited down to see them
The thing is ill not be able to go flying the models
I do move it from on spot to the other just to turn the tires and give the engine a run

We live close to Shotley Bridge Hospital & when we first moved up here we had an excellent bus service but since the closure of the hospital it has dwindled to less than nothing.
From our house until a couple of years ago I used to get a bus to Number One roundabout where my allotment & club is. Mind it did stop about 7:30 (plus none on Sundays & Bank Holidays) so if I went to the club to watch an evening game I'd missed the last bus home by time they'd kicked off!
Now we only have one bus which goes to Consett bus station. So to get to Number One I would have to get another out. The same applies in reverse to get back. This means that by the time I got the bus from the Club to Consett I would have to find another club or pub there so as to use the toilet before getting on the bus to home.

Having mentioned the hospital: They are going to build a new one on the other side of Consett. It will have 16 beds, yes 16 beds, not 16 wards. What will they have staffing it? It won't be economical to have such things as doctors.
Read this: It says it will have a "Rehabilitation Ward" - Do they mean for the druggies? It says we will have the hospital we deserve - so thats what they think of us!

The one here isn't much better - there was a recent report that an A+E patient was left on a trolley in the corridor for so long that, by the time they'd got round to dealing with him, it was too late.
Went to my local GP's for my six-monthly injection, and noted that the staff has changed again. The Practice Nurse looked like he had a lot of South African blood in him, and four of the six doctors listed have Indian names!

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

I am quite lucky for the second time in my life then as we have 3 hospitals all within ten miles 2 of them a 5 minute bus ride and 1 the worst one 20 minutes with buses every half hour
I have to go to all three of them, one on Friday again for something new thats cropped up, but it is a good one
The one thats quarter of an hour away is is in my opinion a bad one, its where i was rushed by ambulance twice last year with my heart attacks, the first was not to bad but the second the ambulance staff booked me in then dropped me in A&E where i sat for 11 and a half hours in a lot of pain before i was even spoken to
The same hospital where i went to sort my teeth out afyer the fall fom the roof that broke my neck in 2016, the first time i sat waiting 3 hours and they sent me home, next time they got me dressed up ready for the op and the i sat waiting for 7 hours before they came in and told me the op was cancelled, and when on the third time they did the op they made such a mess of my gums that i cannot ware the fouls teeth they made, plus the fact that during the op they twisted my neck so bad 2 days later i was re admitted for the pain in my neck
I told my son i sooner die than go back in there
